Mālaʻai Garden Club- 3rd Quarter

We continue our popular Monday afterschool garden club which features cooking as a main component. Our students have been very active in requesting to make certain dishes this year and they have been very open minded as well to new things. Throughout the year it has become clear that cooking is a great passion for many of our students and we love that we get to offer a space for them to express it. From learning how to make different cuts such as mince, chop or julienne to being able to identify herbs by their smell and look, we hope to leave our garden club with skills they can take with them as they continue their culinary adventures.

Our garden club has spent the quarter creating delicious meals and snacks like kimchi radish, sweet and savory crepes, dumpling potstickers, sauteed veggies, fresh veggie omelets, egg salad and more! Below is a photo gallery of our AMAZING Garden Club.
