Kū ʻĀina Pā Teacher Training
This PDE3 training aligns sustainable agriculture practices with Hawaiʻi and National Education standards, resulting in ʻaina-based lessons with a deepened connection to Hawaiʻi and a strengthened sense of responsibility. The Kū ‘Āina Pā School Garden Teacher Training Program has graduated over 200 K-8 educators who have gone on to become pioneers and champions for garden-based learning in Hawai‘i’s schools. Kū ‘Āina Pā can support your school to create and sustain a garden-based ecoliteracy program, and strengthen your teaching and learning practices by connecting to a strong community of like-minded colleagues. HISGN has been working hard to make these trainings affordable if not completely subsidised for teachers. This allows each training to be accessible to all educators and increases the numbers we are able to serve.
