How to Start Seeds - chard and radish
Join Miss Holly as she shows you how to start your baby Rainbow Chard and Radish seeds. She uses an old milk jug as a planting container, then shared about the correct soil to use, planting depth, spacing and when to harvest. (In this video we use containers big enough for the plant to grow in it's whole life. We have another video showing you how to make a container more suited for transplanting seeds if you have room in the ground!)

Chard will have leaves ready for harvest at about 30 days - you can harvest the outside leaves and let the rest of the plant keep growing. Sometimes a chard plant will produce for months! Radishes are quick and can be ready for harvesting as soon as 21 days. Just keep an eye on them and harvest when they look plump. Both vegetables are delicious in a stir fry or soup. Radishes can be eaten fresh on salads, but chard is a little tastier after being cooked.
Experiment and have fun eating what you grow!
