Summer Internship
For about 3 weeks from June to July, Zoe worked with three rising 9th graders to maintain the garden during the summer months. Interns helped fix broken irrigation (an unexpected learning moment!), harvest crops to sell to Healthways II, pruned and maintained fruit trees, and had the idea to sell lemonade, tea, flower bouquets and herb bundles at the Wednesday market. Students were paid about $15/hour for their hard work, made possible by generous donors like you! This year’s internship was a productive and fruitful experience for all :)
