Afterschool Garden & Grindz

Another school year has begun and thus our afterschool program has kicked off. With a standing group of about 10 students, our Mondays afterschool club focuses on the culinary arts.

Our students are learning about the basics of the culinary arts. Safety while using knives and other instruments, different ways to cut food like chiffonade, dice, chopped etc.

We have been cooking a lot thus far this year and we are only getting started. So far the students have learned to make homemade tomato pasta sauce, potato tacos, guacamole & salsa, and lemon possits.
