Garden Club ‘25-’26

Small but mighty! With only 10 students in total, our afterschool garden program really had a chance to bond and focus on improving their culinary skills. With multiple guest visits, sites visits and recipe creation our students had a full year of activities!

We have been creating and trialing some recipes this year which has given our students the chance to get creative in the kitchen. With just about 15 recipes our students have curated a set of easy and nutritious meals that focus on ingredients that commonly grow in school gardens or are easily accessible in the islands.

Some amazing executives’ chefs from the Kona Village: A Rosewood Resort joined us for an afternoon of cooking with our keiki. They taught them about using fresh fish and ingredients from our garden to make ono’ fish with veggies and paradelle pasta! Check out the second set of pictures for some great shots.
