Calamansi salad dressing

Calamansi (calamondin/kalamansi) is a citrus tree commonly grown throughout Asia. The small sour, juicy fruits are orange when ripe. The juice is high in vitamin “C”, great for your health, and can be used in many recipes.


Healthy Calamansi Salad Dressing:

Ingredients ( Serves a family of 5)

  • ¾ cup of olive oil (vegetable oil is okay too)

  • ¼ cup calamansi juice (no seeds)

  • ½ Tablespoon chopped basil

  • 1 teaspoon salt 

  • 1 ½ Tablespoon sugar

*Optional ingredients are, 1 teaspoon shoyu, 1 teaspoon sesame oil.

Put all ingredients in a jar with a lid and vigorously shake until well blended. Enjoy your dressing on a favorite salad. This is also a great chicken marinade!
