SEEDS of Honua
SEEDS of Honua is launching a statewide seed exchange program called Seed 2 School. They are looking for K-12 school garden educators who want to participate in a seed exchange pilot this spring. They are looking for schools interested in sharing viable, high quality seed to share with other schools in your region using our new seed exchange app.

Teachers participating in the pilot will receive FREE:
Introductory virtual class presentation about the program
Seeds from Hawai’i Seed Growers Network
Materials such as seed envelopes and dry cards needed for seed saving
Professional seed saving consulting from the SEEDS of Honua team
Informational material and resources for seed-saving activities and curriculum content.
Timeline:
January- Commit to program and receive seeds and supplies
February- Introductory class presentation by Tyler Levine (Required); Plant seeds for harvesting by May
March- Seed savings basics presentation for participating classes (Optional)
April/May- Harvest seeds and post seed availability on SEEDS of Honua Seed 2 School app
May- Teachers and students complete evaluation; Celebration & reflection class discussion with Tyler Levine (Optional)
