End of Year Pa‘ahana

The school year is off to a fast start but we haven’t forgotten about our recent graduates! Over the course of their three years at Waimea Middle School our 8th graders have provided countless hours of pa’ahana (hard industrious work) for their garden. Resulting in hundreds of pounds of food harvested and eaten at Mālaʻai!

As they transition out of middle school and into high-school we have each 8th grader place their hand on the Pa’ahana wall. So that they know this place is always their home, to honor their hard work and to let future generations know that it is the hands of students that make this garden such a special place.

Good Luck in High School from Mālaʻai ‘Ohana!
