The 5th Annual Hawai’i Island Community Food Summit and 2nd Annual School Garden Workday will take place in person on August 6, 2022 from 9:00am-1:00pm at eight school gardens across the island. HISGN is collaborating with the Hawaiʻi Island Food Alliance to host this year’s event, in partnership with Hawaiʻi County and the Food Basket. The Summit is sponsored by the Hawaii Department of Health.
Help get the gardens in shape for the school year ahead and connect with your local school garden and community members. The goal of this event is to increase residents’ exposure to their local school garden, and who is doing what within their local community. There will be guest presenters and delicious food from local vendors at each site!
